It was in 2004 that people experienced rise of Banglabhai in the north, continuation of killing in the name of ‘crossfire’ by RAB and Police, bomb attacks on political activists and even on a prominent diplomat, planned and declared continued attacks on the Ahmadiyas and sustained assaults on other religious and ethnic communities, grabbing of landed properties of the Hindus and hill people to cite a few examples.
