ToR: Content Creation and Facebook Boosting

Background: Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) was established in 1986 as a national legal aid and human rights organisation. Over the last thirty-six years, ASK has expanded a more comprehensive approach to promote, protect, and prevent legal and human rights throughout the country. ASK’s strategies are to promote human rights awareness and community activism; offer legal aid through mediation and litigation while survivors receive psycho-social counselling; conduct investigations and documentation into human rights violations and file public interest litigation for law and policy reforms supplemented by research which facilitates to media and advocacy campaigns to defend human rights of all, especially human rights defenders in Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh, Child Rights Advocacy Coalition, Bangladesh (CRAC’B) is one of the most vibrant Coalition working for child rights since 2013. ASK is the Secretariat of the Coalition. It is encompassed of most of the front-line child rights organisations in the country. This Coalition has for the first time established a child rights monitoring system and executed effective follow-up advocacy in Bangladesh in line with UPR and UNCRC mechanism. The Coalition was set up to strengthen and mobilise the civil society in establishing a systematic monitoring, reporting and conducting follow up advocacy initiatives on child rights situation jointly with organisations that share similar goals and objectives. Through active collaboration, the coalition made significant achievements till date, including submission of UPR stakeholders report on child rights and alternative report to UNCRC, attending the UPR Pre-session in Geneva to present on child rights issues and conducting significant and evidence-based advocacy for protecting child rights. The Coalition has also accomplished incorporation of the plan for establishing a ‘Separate Department for Children’ in the national budget 2020-2021 through continuous advocacy. The Coalition is developing an official website to document its work, host a database on child rights and disseminate information at national and international levels. At this stage, the Coalition is aiming to develop creative contents, advocacy and campaign materials to promote children’s rights and useful knowledge resources for the children, guardians and parents, educators, and relevant stakeholders to make them aware on certain issues as well as to ensure the sustainability of the   “Civil Society Organisations advancing child rights activism through the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) mechanism in Bangladesh” project through increasing visibility in social media platforms.

  1. Objectives:
  • To develop graphics content with message based on Child Rights/ Event/ Day observations.
  • To increase visibility of the graphics content through facebook boosting.
  1. Scope: The graphics content will include the following features:
  • The graphics contents must be child appropriate and self-explanatory so that they can easily draw lessons from them
  • The design and layout of the contents must be developed using different creative methods such as graphics, illustrations and pictorials
  • The graphics contents must be presented in a way that all the data and information are easily understandable to the external audience
  • The graphics contents must be ready to use at website and social media platforms, especially, facebook
  • Facebook boosting or social media campaign
  1. Technical Requirements:
  • Proven experience in producing contents with innovative graphic designs with the use of software such as Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, Procreate, Adobe Photoshop and other tools.
  • Sample work of clear and mature style of design, demonstrating an understanding of the child appropriate communication requirements.
  • Experience of graphic production from start to published product and colour management.
  1. Competency/Qualifications:
  • Must have Master’s degree in graphic design or related field.
  • Must have experience as a graphic designer or in related field.
  • Must have previous knowledge to work on human rights, women’s rights and/or child rights.
  • Must have demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Must be proficient in required social media marketing and graphics design tools.
  • Must have a strong eye for visual composition and attention to detail.
  • Must have effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to give and receive constructive criticism.
  1. Timeframe:

The assignment is expected to start from June 2023 and will continue till November 2023.

  1. Deliverables:
  • Regular basis content making and circulating over social media on the basis of regular communication with ASK’s focal person and meeting all the requirements outlined in this TOR document.
  • The specifics of the deliverables are as follows:

  1. Budget and Mode of Payment:

The Budget for this service is including VAT and TAX. The payment will be made in two installments, 50% will be paid after three months of signing the contract and receiving half of the assignments (6 contents and 6 boosting) and another 50% will be paid after the completion of the assignment.

  1. Submission of proposal and deadline:

Interested candidates (consultancy / firm / agency / organisation / individual) should forward their applications and express their interest to in the email, by 4 June 2023.

  1. Ownership:

ASK would have complete ownership and use of the contents and all the resources of it.

  1. General Terms and Conditions and Disclaimers:
  • ASK reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal without giving any verbal and/or written rationale;
  • All contents, designs developed during the assignment will be treated as ASK’s property;
  • The contents, ideas or any part cannot be sold, used and reproduced in any manner without prior written approval of ASK;
  • ASK and its representatives reserve the right to monitor the quality and progress of the work during the assignment.
  1. Terrorism and money laundering issues: If there any proof of engagement in any terrorism and money laundering issues, ASK will reject the proposal without assigning any reason.
  2. Child Protection Policy, Code of Conduct and Sexual Harassment Protection Policy: The firm/organisation/individual shall comply with the Child Protection Policy, Code of Conduct and Sexual Harassment Protection Policy of ASK. Any violation/deviation in complying with ASK’s child protection policy, Code of Conduct and Sexual Harassment Protection Policy will result in termination of the agreement.
