ASK's Intervention

Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) addressed 15 human rights violation cases and collected data related to these incidents. ASK engaged with the survivors and victims to understand the circumstances better and ensure their voices were heard. Teknaf of Cox's Bazar police arrested seventh grader student Tawsiful Karim Rafi in an arms related case after not finding his father. Rafi was arrested and subsequently charged on 26th November, 2024, under the The Arms Act, 1878. Later he was sent to jail. A Writ Petition was filed in May on the High Court division of Bangladesh Supreme Court against the death of Sultana Jasmin under RAB custody. ASK has become a party to the writ petition. Sultana Jasmine (45), an office assistant at Chandipur Union Land Office under Naogaon Sadar upazila, died in RAB custody on 24 March 2023.
