In the first year of the “Digital Spaces for Dialogue” initiative, ASK illuminated paths of hope in the Rohingya camps and host communities of Ukhiya, Teknaf and Camps 3 & 4. Through a comprehensive Needs Assessment with 184 participants- including youth, women, marginalised groups and local leaders- ASK identified barriers to digital access, social exclusion and mobility restrictions, forming the foundation for inclusive dialogue and strategic program design. ASK’s participation in a regional Training of Trainers (ToT) strengthened capacities in digital storytelling, youth-led facilitation and conflict-sensitive communication. Monitoring of social media and community trends highlighted both risks- funding cuts, service closures and climate vulnerabilities- and opportunities for youth education, leadership and emerging repatriation frameworks.
The post Building Digital Pathways for Inclusive Dialogue in Rohingya Camps and Host Communities first appeared on Ain o Salish Kendra(ASK).

From 15- 22 January 2026, Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), in partnership with DW Akademie, undertook an international exchange and strategic learning visit to Chiang Mai, Thailand under the Digital Spaces for Dialogue project. The visit served as a key moment for aligning ASK’s implementation approach with regional best practices and the project’s Logical Framework, particularly in relation to inclusive digital dialogue and cross-regional learning. Through workshops, partner consultations and field engagement with youth networks and displaced communities from Myanmar, the ASK delegation gained practical insights into trauma-informed digital engagement, hybrid participation models and the creative use of storytelling for peacebuilding. Technical exchanges with Digital Rights Asia and DW Akademie also strengthened ASK’s understanding of outcome-based reporting, financial compliance and FSTP implementation. The experience reinforced the importance of safe, youth-led and context-responsive digital spaces, while laying the groundwork for deeper regional collaboration. Lessons from Chiang Mai will directly inform the next phase of implementation in Bangladesh, including the upcoming Idea Lab and contribute to building more inclusive, resilient and peaceful digital dialogue platforms.
The post Workshop: Learning, Solidarity and Strategy from Chiang Mai first appeared on Ain o Salish Kendra(ASK).

These drama initiatives are designed to cultivate leadership skills in children, encouraging their active involvement in fostering a safe and supportive environment while establishing an effective, gender-sensitive child protection framework. As part of the Nagorikota project, Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), in partnership with SoDESH, conducted a workshop on drama productions with the District Level Bidyalaya Natya Dal (BNAD) in Satkhira in December 2025, which saw the participation of 25 students.
The post Inter school workshop for BINAD (Bidyalay Natya Dal ) on Drama Production first appeared on Ain o Salish Kendra(ASK).

A total of six study sessions were held, engaging 152 participants combined. Specifically, two sessions were held in Satkhira, during which they successfully engaged 55 students. The remaining four sessions took place in Barishal, reaching a larger audience of 97 students. These sessions blended academic topics with performance arts workshops, providing students with essential tools for both their education and their passion for the stage and demonstrated BINAD’s commitment to youth empowerment in both regional centres. Additionally, the group organised the observance of National Day of the Girl Child in October 2025. Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) is implementing the EngageNow project under the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) programme, with support from the Embassy of Switzerland and Global Affairs Canada (GAC).
The post BINAD Theatre Group Conducts Study Sessions and Observes Girl Child Day first appeared on Ain o Salish Kendra(ASK).

This reflective gathering, attended by 70 participants including 56 women and 14 men, brought together local officials, community leaders, and members of 23 Maitree Women’s Groups and 6 Umbrella Network male members from both Ukhiya and Teknaf. The workshop celebrated the achievements of the project since its inception in 2020, spotlighting women’s participation in peacebuilding, social cohesion, and strategies for sustaining its positive outcomes. Key government officials and NGO representatives shared insights while participants reflected on their transformative journeys—from once silently enduring domestic violence to now confidently protesting abuse, knowing their legal rights, and actively supporting their families and communities. Many women shared how involvement in the Maitree groups had broadened their horizons, allowing them to step beyond household boundaries, voice their concerns, and contribute to community progress. The event successfully laid the groundwork for future collaborative initiatives in women’s empowerment, gender equality, and community harmony, echoing the powerful message that collective courage and unity foster lasting change. ASK is implementing the project in support of UN Women.
The post Echoes of Change: Learning Sharing Workshop Marks a New Chapter for Women’s Empowerment first appeared on Ain o Salish Kendra(ASK).

ASK implemented a project named SUFASEC at Satkhira. The project’s focus is to protect children from sexual exploitation and foster a protective environment at the local level. Life skills training is essential for children to develop confidence and resilience in everyday life. These can help children make decisions, solve problems, develop communication skills, control emotional regulation, and enhance self-confidence. And that’s why ASK organised life skills training and sexuality education for children to build their capacity. This training was held on 8 and 9 January 2024, Two days, one batch. 26 participants participated in this training.
The post ASK Organises Life Skills Training for the Child Group of Shatkhira first appeared on Ain o Salish Kendra(ASK).
