Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) has organized a research findings sharing meeting on Prevalence of Sexual Harassment and Gender-based Violence between CSOs and policy makers. The meeting was held on 05 February 2025 at CIRDAP Auditorium, Dhaka. Total 32 participants attended the meeting. The objective of the session is to share findings of the research on assessment of effectiveness of the role of CSOs and integrated approach linking state and non-state actors on prevention and protection against SH and GBV and to collect the recommendations to strengthen this role and approach to combat Sexual Harassment and violence in the public spaces, work places and digital platforms.
Prominent attendees included Advocate Rokhsana Khondker, Treasurer, ASK; Mubrook Mohammed, Advisor, ASK; Nargis Sultana, Program Officer, Department of Women and Children Affairs; representatives from BRAC Social Compliance; members of various civil society organizations, and media representatives. During the meeting, the research findings were shared, followed by discussions where participants expressed their views on the widespread prevalence of SH and GBV. They also highlighted specific areas that require further research and interventions for future advocacy efforts.
