A three-day Workshop on Human Rights Education was organized by Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK)\u00a0for the students of Drama and Dramatics Department, Jahangirnagar University,\u00a0and held at Jahangirnagar University, from 11-13 December, 2018. Shahida Akter, Coordinator, ASK and Shoma Mumotaz, Chair of Drama and Dramatics Department, jointly inaugurated the Workshop.<\/div>\n

    On the day of inauguration, the discussion surrounded the mission and vision of ASK, the various rights, human rights and fundamental rights. The next day,\u00a0the main focus was on the discussion on\u00a0topics such as gender, women rights, patriarchy, and inter-sectionality. On the last day of the workshop,\u00a0Professor Ainoon Naher, Jahangirnagar University, and Apurba Das, ASK, who were the resource persons of the event,\u00a0focused on the details of Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), affirmative action, positive discrimination, action theatre and other related issues.
