\u2018ASTHA: Strengthening Access to Multi-Sectoral Public Services for Gender Based Violence (GBV) Survivors in Bangladesh\u2019 project has observed the 16 days of activism\u00a0at district, union and upazila level of the project areas\u00a0<\/span>with the spirit of putting an end to violence against women. The projects areas are Bogura, Patuakhali, Cox\u2019s Bazar and Jamalpur. It was observed parallely with the global and national theme with the campaign slogan-‘<\/span>We are united to put an end to gender-based violence’<\/strong><\/em>, (in Bangla-\u2018\u099c\u09c7\u09a8\u09cd\u09a1\u09be\u09b0 \u09ad\u09bf\u09a4\u09cd\u09a4\u09bf\u0995 \u09b8\u09b9\u09bf\u0982\u09b8\u09a4\u09be \u09aa\u09cd\u09b0\u09a4\u09bf\u09b0\u09cb\u09a7\u09c7,\u0986\u09ae\u09b0\u09be \u09b8\u09ac\u09be\u0987 \u0986\u099b\u09bf \u098f\u0995\u09b8\u09be\u09a5\u09c7\u2019).<\/span><\/p>\n

    Partner organizations of ASTHA, i.e. Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK), Shushilan, YPSA and Sabalamby Unnayan Samity (SUS), in collaboration with the district police and administration, arranged several campaign activities such as: bicycle rally (with the participation of over 600 school girls), women\u2019s football match, mass signature collection, human chain, press conference in their respective areas. Several competitions like quiz, debate, essay writing and painting\u00a0were also organized at school level.<\/p>\n

    The campaign primarily targeted mass people and multi-sectoral service providers at both district and Upazila level. It also included policy makers, law enforcers, NGO professionals, journalists, practitioners, local leaders, politicians, religious leaders, students, and teachers to spread the information about GBV for raising awareness.<\/p>\n

    ASTHA project is supported by UNFPA and Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is being implemented by Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
