{"id":11939,"date":"2019-02-13T03:57:06","date_gmt":"2019-02-13T03:57:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/?p=11939"},"modified":"2019-03-14T06:27:49","modified_gmt":"2019-03-14T06:27:49","slug":"3-shot-death-bgb-ain-o-salish-kendra-asks-condemnation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/2019\/02\/13\/3-shot-death-bgb-ain-o-salish-kendra-asks-condemnation\/","title":{"rendered":"3 Shot to Death by BGB Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK)&#8217;s Condemnation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) expresses grave condemnation over the death of 3 villagers on being shot by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) during a clash between the BGB and the villagers, when the former went to detain the suspected Indian cattle smugglers at Thakurgaon.<br \/>\nAccording to media reports, on 12 February noon, at Baharampur village, Haripur upazilla, Thakurgaon, when the BGB seized the cattle of a local man suspecting him to be an Indian cattle smuggler, the villagers got agitated and attempted to bring the cattle down from BGB Jeep. Due to this, the latter opened fire on them. As a result, 3 persons, including an adolescent boy, got killed and 14 were wounded. To the contrary, the BGB claimed that they had been forced to open fire in the face of attack by cattle-smugglers\u2019 group.<br \/>\nASK expresses deep concern over such incident. Such incidences cannot be acceptable in any way.
