\u201cIt is not okay to hit or beat any woman. This is wrong,\u201d said by a middle-aged man while sharing his realization after watching the theatre play \u2018Alor Pothe\u2019 (On the way to Enlightenment) in Bogura district, organized by ASTHA project.<\/p>\n

Dr Asa Torkelson, Country Representative, UNFPA also enjoyed the theatre show with more than seven hundred people in the audience.<\/p>\n\r\n\t

    Through the story of a family, this play has already raised awareness among more than four thousand people to prevent violence against women.<\/p>\n

    Followed by the theater show, an oath ceremony also took place where the people have committed to prevent and respond to GBV and encourage others to do so.<\/p>\n

    ASTHA project is implementing by Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) with its local partners, and with technical support from UNFPA and funding from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN).<\/p>\n
