- Dr Maleka Begum,<\/strong> former Secretary of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (Bangladesh Womens Organisation founded by Sufia Kamal)<\/li>\n
- Dr Fauzia Mohsin<\/strong>, A member of Mahila Parishad who assisted Sufia Kamal when dealing with the aftermath of the 200,000 women who were raped during the liberation war.<\/li>\n
- Syed Manjural Islam<\/strong>, Former Professor of English Literature at Dhaka University, Fiction writer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Begum Sufia Kamal (Bengali: \u09b8\u09c1\u09ab\u09bf\u09af\u09bc\u09be \u0995\u09be\u09ae\u09be\u09b2; June 20, 1911 \u2013 November 20, 1999) was an eminent Bangladeshi feminist, poet, freedom fighter and activist. She was born to an elite Muslim family of Barisal in southern Bangladesh. When she died in 1999, she was buried with full state honors, and was the first woman in Bangladesh to receive this honor.<\/p><\/div>\n
