Adam Ali is a Jubo League activist who has been accused in 10 criminal cases, including one for murder.<\/p>\n

According to the Operation in Charge (OC) at Manirampur police Station, there are eight charges against Adam Ali at Manirampur Police Station and he was detained in case regarding the vandalism at City Corporation Mayor Shahid Iqbal’s residence.<\/p>\n

”He was freed on Monday after a court gave him bail in two cases filed under the Explosive Act”.<\/p>\n

11.30 am\u00a0\u00a0 Member of Joint Forces arrested Adam Ali from Durgapur area <\/b><\/p>\n

2.00 pm \u00a0 Tipu Sultan, Ruling party member [ Jessore-5,Manirampur, stood as a candidate for elections] started a \u2018\u2019siege\u2019\u2019 protest \u00a0at front gate of Manirampur police station demanding the release of its youth affiliate group leader.<\/p>\n

After receiving assurance from the former MP and present President of the District Awami League – Ali Reza over phone that their demands will be \u00a0fulfilled ,they ended strike at 9 pm (after passing of 7 hours).<\/p>\n

Adam Ali was released on 13 January 2014 \u00a0at the Court of Amirul Islam, Senior Judge at Jessore.<\/b><\/p>\n

The party\u2019s district unit President Ali Reza Raju made the demand at a press conference at the Jessore Press Club on Tuesday noon.<\/em><\/p>\n

The demand came after Awami League leaders and activists, led by party\u2019s Jessore-3 MP candidate for the 10th parliament election Khan Tipu Sultan, laid a siege to a police station.<\/em>
\nThey were demanding the release of its youth front Jubo League\u2019s leader Adam Ali, an accused in several cases including one concerning a murder.<\/em><\/p>\n

Raju threatened an indefinite agitation and hunger strike unless SP Joydev Bhadra was moved out of Jessore within 15 days.<\/em><\/p>\n
