{"id":2298,"date":"2014-01-28T04:00:48","date_gmt":"2014-01-28T04:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/?p=2298"},"modified":"2014-03-17T19:54:18","modified_gmt":"2014-03-17T19:54:18","slug":"15-dies-gun-fights-law-enforcement-agencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/2014\/01\/28\/15-dies-gun-fights-law-enforcement-agencies\/","title":{"rendered":"15 Die in \u2018Gun Fights\u2019 with Law Enforcement Agencies : ASK Express Grave Concern"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ASK expresses grave concern over the rise of \u2018extra judicial killings\u2019 by the law enforcement agencies at the recent time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to different media reports, 15 people have been killed in \u2018gun-fights\u2019 with law enforcement agencies between 1 January 2014 and 27 January 2014.<\/p>\n<p>It has also been reported that those people, who died in gunfights with Police, RAB and members of other law enforcing agencies, were largely the activists of Jamaat-Shibir and were involved in the recent political killing, looting, arson-attacks particularly the communal attacks. ASK considers that perpetrators of such crimes must be punished accordingly following the due process of law.
