{"id":25657,"date":"2024-11-19T10:40:20","date_gmt":"2024-11-19T04:40:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/?p=25657"},"modified":"2024-11-21T10:50:02","modified_gmt":"2024-11-21T04:50:02","slug":"dialogue-with-journalists-on-the-child-rights-situation-in-bangladesh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/2024\/11\/19\/dialogue-with-journalists-on-the-child-rights-situation-in-bangladesh\/","title":{"rendered":"Dialogue with Journalists on the Child Rights Situation in Bangladesh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 19 November 2024, Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), as the secretariat of the Child Rights Advocacy Coalition in Bangladesh (CRAC,B), hosted a \u2018Dialogue with Journalists on the Child Rights Situation in Bangladesh\u2019 at the National Press Club, Dhaka, to present the coalition\u2019s observations on the contemporary child rights situation (January- October 2024) in Bangladesh and to gather feedback from the media professionals on improving child rights situation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/01-Dialogue-with-Journalists-on-the-Child-Rights-Situation-in-Bangladesh.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/01-Dialogue-with-Journalists-on-the-Child-Rights-Situation-in-Bangladesh.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"699\" height=\"400\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25658\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The dialogue was moderated by M. Kabir, Country Director, Terre des Hommes Netherlands, and the keynote was presented by Santa Islam, Project Officer, ASK. Mr. Shahidul Islam, Specialist- Child Rights &amp; Protection and Country Child Safeguarding Policy Focal Point, Educo, and Tamanna Hoq Riti, Coordinator, ASK provided insightful responses to the questions in the dialogue. Among the coalition members, Mahfuza Parvin from SHAPLA NEER and Md Hanif from Action Aid were also present at the event.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/02-Dialogue-with-Journalists-on-the-Child-Rights-Situation-in-Bangladesh.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/02-Dialogue-with-Journalists-on-the-Child-Rights-Situation-in-Bangladesh.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"711\" height=\"400\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25659\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">More than 60 journalists from different print and electronic media outlets attended the dialogue and initiated discussions regarding various issues making this event more participatory and meaningful.<\/p>\n<p>Can&apos;t see?
