    On 26 February 2026, a dialogue on \u201cThe Necessity of a Code of Conduct to Prevent Online Child Sexual Exploitation\u201d was organised by Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) with the support of Terre des Hommes Netherlands. The dialogue brought together representatives from the government, law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and development partners.<\/div>\n
    Special guests included Md. Kamruzzaman, Additional Director (Child Protection Unit), Department of Social Services; Farhana Mridha, Superintendent of Police, Women Support and Investigation, Dhaka Metropolitan Police; Shibli Imtiaz, Senior Assistant Director, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC); and Md. Nurul Kabir, Program Coordinator and Focal Person, SUFASEC Project, Terre des Hommes Netherlands. The research activities were supported by Tahmina Rahman, Executive Council Member of ASK, and the research was conducted by Debojit Saha, Research Coordinator, Kaizen CRS.<\/div>\n
    In opening remarks, Mubrook Mohammed, Advisor at ASK, said that while the online world has opened new opportunities for children, it has also created new risks. Institutional policies and effective guidelines are essential to ensure protection of children from online sexual exploitation, and the proposed Code of Conduct will play a critical role in this regard.<\/div>\n
    Speakers agreed that ensuring a safe digital environment for children requires increasing child-friendly and creative content on online platforms. They also emphasised the need to raise parental digital awareness, strengthen coordinated efforts to prevent cybercrime, and enhance effective collaboration among relevant institutions.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
