To formally engage the university administration in this initiative and facilitate the development of an institutional action plan, an official project inception meeting was held at the SUST campus on 16 June 2026.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The inauguration meeting was attended by Professor Dr Md Khairul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology; Professor Dr Mohammad Saiful Islam, Director of Student Counselling and Guidance; Professor Dr Chowdhury Farhana Jhuma, Chairperson of the Sexual Harassment and Violence Prevention Complaint Committee; and Shrabana Dutta, Manager of UN Women Bangladesh.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the meeting Mubrook Mohammed, Adviser of Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), presented the project background, its significance, data and statistics on gender-based violence in Bangladesh and the overall project framework.
