We believe that the National Human Rights Commission has been acting well within its jurisdiction and authority to improve the human rights situation of the country. We think this attitude of the jail authority obstructing inspection of human rights situation of the prisoners has indirectly disregarded the Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>We urge the government to take up the matter very seriously and to take legal action against the persons responsible for the incident after proper investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ASK expresses grave concern on and strongly condemns the incident of the Chairman of the Human Rights Commission Dr. Mizanur Rahman not being allowed to visit the Sylhet Jail.
