An eviction notice has been served by the government authorities upon <\/strong>2100 inhabitants of Shahidertak basti, Purbo Agargaon, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, (Plot-E-5\/B) and Dhaka without managing alternative accommodation. <\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Court’s Response:<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

High Court issued Rule Nisi as to why the eviction notice should not be declared without lawful authority and why the respondents should not be directed to comply with the principles or guidelines of the committee regarding resettlement\/ rehabilitation of slum dwellers. Court also stayed the operation of impugned eviction notice for six months.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
