{"id":937,"date":"2013-06-10T23:28:30","date_gmt":"2013-06-10T23:28:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/?p=937"},"modified":"2013-12-09T23:06:41","modified_gmt":"2013-12-09T23:06:41","slug":"border-violence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.askbd.org\/ask\/2013\/06\/10\/border-violence\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian NHRC Reply to ASK Enquiry regarding the Arrest of 6 Minors by BSF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In March 2013, ASK had sent a petition signed by concerned citizens\u00a0 to :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Tripura State and South Tripura State,<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>\u00a0Indian High Commission,\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Border Security Force,\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>NHRC in India and Bangladesh,<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Home Ministry, Government of Bangladesh<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0 National Human Rights Commission of India got back to ASK, in the papers below, it is observed that the parents were &#8221;grateful&#8221; to the Indian Border Security Force for detaining their children for 4 days.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><b>Indian Border Security Force (BSF) \u00a0were reported to have arrested six minors identified\u00a0 as Shimul, aged 8, Sohel, aged\u00a0 8, Nayan, aged 8, Nazma Akhter, aged 9, and Salma Akhter, aged 5. They were arrested \u00a0in the Parsuram-Belonia border at Feni, Bangladesh on Thursday, 21st March 2013.
