ASK pioneered the provision of legal aid services to the marginalised, underprivileged people who face difficulty in accessing justice. The unique services of mediation, psycho-social counselling, and litigation have always been the main focus of ASK’s activities. In December 2024, a total of 187 persons contacted ASK for service. Among these, 134 were for mediation and 49 were for litigation. 130 persons got legal advice from the ASK helpline service for survivors. A total of BDT 112,900 was recovered for the service-seekers as dower and maintenance in family cases.
