Coordination Meeting of CRAC, B Convened at ASK

On 9 June 2026, Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), serving as the Secretariat of the Child Rights Advocacy Coalition in Bangladesh (CRAC, B) organised a Coordination Meeting at the ASK office. The meeting was attended by representatives from coalition member organisations, including Ayesha Akter, Breaking the Silence; Mahafuza Parvin, Shapla Neer Bangladesh; Syeda Ahsana Zaman (Aurny), National Girl Child Advocacy Forum (NGCAF); Abdullah Al Mamun, ActionAid Bangladesh; Sahidul Islam, Educo Bangladesh; Md. Abdul Kaium Joy, Save the Children; Nusrat Jahan, SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh; Brizeela Remila, World Vision Bangladesh; SK Rahamat Ulla Rumi, Save the Children in Bangladesh and Strala Rupa Mollick, World Vision Bangladesh. Representatives participated in the meeting to review ongoing initiatives and develop a six-month action plan for implementing child rights and child protection activities.

The meeting commenced with opening remarks by Tahmina Rahman, Executive Director of ASK, who emphasised the importance of strengthening collective efforts to address emerging child rights challenges and ensuring the effective implementation of the coalition’s planned activities. She highlighted the need for enhanced collaboration among stakeholders to promote and protect the rights of children across Bangladesh.

The meeting was organised under the EngageNow project. The project is part of the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) programme, implemented with support from the Embassy of Switzerland, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and the European Union (EU).
