“Fight back”, “Never listen if people belittle you, move ahead”, “Don’t prioritise someone’s gender; value their abilities” – these are some of the inspiring words shared at the event on observing International Women’s Day at ASK premises by the women of different sectors who have made a mark in the society breaking all the barriers of stereotypes norms and practices. This interactive event was filled with positive vibes that emphasised on both individual and unified action for ensuring women’s rights and equality in society. At the event there were speakers from different sectors and diverse group; they were Atiqua Roma, Team Leader, Jabo Bohudur, Shirin Akhter, Chairman, Women with Disability Development Foundation, Samiul Alam Shammi, Bandhu Social Welfare Society, Jinot Tabassum, Representative, SPaRC, Khadiza Tul Qubra Binte Ahsan, Founder, WeMen View. The event was graced as a Guest of Honour by Hameeda Hossain, ASK Founding Member and Human Rights Activist.

The event was initiated by ASK Gender Team and organized by Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) with support from DANIDA, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Swiss Development Agency, SIDA, and UNFPA.
