ASK pioneered in providing legal aid services to marginalized and underprivileged people who face difficulties in accessing justice. The unique services of mediation, psycho-social counseling, and litigation have always been the main focus of ASK’s activities. In February 2025, a total of 169 persons contacted ASK for services. Among these, 127 were for mediation and 42 were for litigation. ASK provided legal advice to 41 persons through direct consultations at the ASK office. Additionally, 140 survivors received services through ASK’s helpline. ASK conducted 9 mediation sessions, and a total of 148 returning applicants sought assistance. 7 rapid response actions were taken to address urgent issues. Through mediation, ASK successfully recovered BDT 1,75,000 as dower, maintenance, and child support in family cases.
