“In comparison to last year, 2019 has experienced nearly double number of rape incidents, including girl and boy child rape. The freedom of expression was also curtailed”, shared Sheepa Hafiza, Executive Director of Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) with the journalists during the Press Conference organised by ASK. The conference on “Human Righs Situation of Bangladesh: ASK’s Observation’ was held on 31 December 2019, at National Press Club, Dhaka.

The briefing was presided by Sheepa Hafiza. Nina Gowsami, Senior Deputy Director, ASK and Abu Ahmed Faijul Kabir, Senior Coordinator, ASK, shared the summary of the report presenting due statistics of the human rights violations collected by ASK.
Tahmina Rahman, Secretary General, Executive Committee, ASK moderated the conference.
