On 25 February 2020, Human Rights Defenders Forum (HRDF)-Bandarban, in association with Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), organised a ‘Meeting with Local Human Rights Activists’ at Bandarban.

The meeting was presided by Dr. Moung Usha Thowai, Convener, HRDF-Bandarban. Sheepa Hafiza, Executive Director, ASK, Abu Ahmed Faijul Kabir, Senior Coordinator, ASK, Anirban Saha, Senior Investigator, ASK, Advocate Sarah Sudipa Younus, Joint Convener, HRDF-Bandarban, along with Adv. Minu Sang, Biswjit Chakravarti, Bishwanath Chakravorty and Kempu Chakma Umenu Marma delivered their speech. A number of human rights activists including students, lawyers, teachers and other professionals were present at the meeting. The meeting was also joined by few of the victims of human rights violations who expressed their current scenario and gave updates on their situation.
