ASK has been holding a series of dialogues with university students on the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and Bangladesh. As part of that, ASK organised a dialogue with the Department of LAW, Jagannath University, on 22 September 2022, where the students identified key progress Bangladesh has made while also noting the multi-faceted challenges in implementing the UPR recommendations of the 2018 cycle. Keeping in mind that these students will be the advocates of change for the cycles to come, they were also given potential roles as different stakeholders in the UPR process during the Mock-UPR session. The dialogue covered sessions on the United Nations Human Rights Mechanism and the UPR.
