ASK’s Legal Aid ASK continues to provide legal aid services to marginalized and underprivileged individuals, focusing on mediation, litigation, and legal counseling. In March 2025, a total of 145 persons approached ASK for assistance. Among them, 117 were for mediation and 28 for litigation. Out of the total, 95 were women and 22 were men. ASK received 8 new complaints and provided legal advice to 34 individuals through direct consultations at the ASK office. Additionally, 135 survivors received services through ASK’s helpline. ASK conducted 9 mediation sessions during the month. A total of 137 returning applicants sought further assistance. ASK also undertook 17 rapid response actions to address urgent and critical cases. Through mediation efforts, a total of BDT 7,48,800 was recovered as dower, maintenance, and child support in family-related cases.
