Capacity Building Workshop with Partner Organisations

Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) recently organised a day-long capacity-building workshop on accounting systems with its local partner organisations. The workshop focused on strengthening the financial management and administrative systems of partner NGOs. Key sessions covered accounting systems, budget planning and management and ensuring transparency in financial practices. Practical discussions were held on supporting vouchers, bill verification and record-keeping procedures to enhance accuracy and accountability. The workshop also addressed financial reporting with an emphasis on ensuring transparency through practical examples. In addition, sessions on administrative policies and procurement procedures were conducted along with guidance on VAT and tax compliance, relevant rules and their practical implementation. Overall, the workshop aimed to improve financial discipline, compliance and efficient management practices among partner organisations. The workshop was organised under the EngageNow project as part of the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) programme, with support from the Embassy of Switzerland, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and European Union (EU).
