Roksana, a 10-years old domestic help, was tortured inhumanely by her employers in Dhaka. On 17 August 2018, she was found in a state of unconsciousness in Dhaka Central Hospital and was rescued from there. She had numerous scars and marks on her body which resulted in her being hospitalised from 18 August to 26 August 2018. Regarding this incident, a case was filed in Lohargora Police Station; however, due to the influence of the persons involved in this incident, no one was arrested then. The Human Rights Defenders Forum of Narail arranged a human chain demanding the arrest and exemplary punishment for the perpetrators and sent a subsequent letter to the Prime Minister on the same. Through the HRDF-Narail, ASK was made aware of the incident and provided legal and other necessary support to the victim.
