During the period, Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) handled 239 survivor registrations, including 200 females and 39 males, with several survivors from marginalised groups. Of these cases, 202 were addressed through the Mediation Unit and 37 through the Litigation Unit. The Unit registered 23 new survivors, conducted 9 mediation sessions, followed up with 7 survivors and provided legal advice to 63 individuals. Referred 13 survivors to other organisations. Helpline services were extended to 140 survivors; rapid response support was provided in 16 cases and counselling services were offered to 4 persons, and couple therapy was provided to 1 couple and group therapy was conducted for 1. Recovered dower and maintenance (including children) of taka 1, 41,040/ (One lac forty 0ne thousand and forty) through mediation. Divorce (Khola Talaq) was conducted by a Kazi with the consent of both parties with the help of the mediation unit 2. Resulting in the payment of BDT 85,000 (Eighty-five thousand) as dower money (Kabinnama), past and Iddat maintenance. These activities were implemented under the EngageNow project, part of the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) programme, with support from the Embassy of Switzerland and Global Affairs Canada (GAC).
