Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) expresses grave concern on the death of 6 persons in Narsinghdi and 1 in Dhaka in separate gunfights with RAB.

Different media reported that on April 2, 2012 at about 2:45 pm the gunfight took place on Madanganj Road of Narsinghdi. It left 6 persons killed. It is also reported that one Monir, who has been arrested in relation to the incident, is a fish trader. He also claimed that he was not in involved the incident. On the other hand, another person was killed in a gunfight with the RAB at Mirpur, Dhaka.

We reiterate that every citizen has the right to get justice under the existing judicial system of the country. We demand judicial inquiry of the incidents and call for necessary steps to prevent recurrence of such incidents by the government.
