NATIONWIDE ABDUCTION , KIDNAP  AND MURDER

19 May 2014.  Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) expresses grave concern over uninterrupted incidents of abduction, kidnap and murder in various places around the country. ASK strongly demands immediate measures to ensure security of the petitioners and witnesses connected with the trial process against the persons allegedly involved in these types of incidents.

It has been reported by different media that the family members of victims of abduction, kidnap and murder incidents are receiving various types of threat and suffering from lack of security. On the basis of media reports we know that the arrest and remand process has begun against the persons allegedly involved in recent seven (7) murders case of Narayanjanj. We believe that, the initiation of this trial shall accelerate the trial of other similar incidents, but the identity of petitioners and witnesses involved in those processes will be unveiled now. We think that immediate measures are necessary to ensure their security and protection as well as the smooth trial. Worth mentioning that, at various times we have demanded for the enactment of witness protection law to ensure security and protection of witnesses which has not been fulfilled yet.

Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) strongly demands to the government to take expeditious, visible and effective initiatives for the protection and security of petitioners and witnesses connected with the trial process along with family members of the victims.
