ASK held a rally and formed a Human Chain to mark International Human Rights Day 2019 (December 10) at the national level. ASK placed eight points of demands on the government from the Human Chain.

It demanded establishing an independent inquiry commission to investigate allegations of human rights violations by Law Enforcement Agencies including extrajudicial killings, custodial torture and enforced disappearance in the country. ASK also urged to ensure an enabling environment in which people can exercise their rights without any fear and intimidation. Besides, human rights defenders and community groups at the local level also observed the Day by arranging rallies and Human Chains in different areas.
