During July 2026, Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) continued to provide legal representation and support to victims and individuals seeking legal assistance. A total of 221 cases were handled before the courts, including 210 family cases, 8 cases relating to violence against women and children and 3 criminal cases.
ASK lawyers undertook various legal actions, including case filing, court appearances, hearings, necessary follow-up, examination and cross-examination of witnesses and legal arguments. During the month, 3 new cases were filed on behalf of clients seeking legal assistance. These activities were implemented under the EngageNow project, part of the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) programme, with support from the Embassy of Switzerland and Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and European Union (EU).
